3 Reasons to Print Your Wedding Photos:
Your Wedding Photos can remind you of the beauty of your wedding day
As you live out the mundane moments of your marriage - like doing the laundry, cooking dinner, & cleaning your home - seeing your wedding photos is a beautiful & simple way to be reminded of your wedding vows. Seeing our wedding photos throughout our home has inspired me to be a better wife in little ways.
Your Wedding Photos can be a Witness to Yourself & The People in Your Life
As Christians, we are called to be witnesses of joy & your wedding photos can be a witness to people who come into your home. I don't know about you, but I absolutely love seeing my friend's wedding photos & flipping through their photo albums. Photos are a glimpse into another person's story. Your wedding photos are a part of your love story. When you share your photos with friends, you share your love story with them too!
Your professional photos deserve to be printed & framed!
As a professional photographer, my greatest hope is that the photos I take will live beyond an online gallery. Whether you hang your photos on a wall or create an album, the printed copies of your photos are tangible reminders of a moment in time.
For our wedding day, we invested in a very talented photographer. She documented the beauty, joy, & real emotions of our wedding day - Thank you, Emma Dallman! One of the first things I did when we got home from our honeymoon was print out a handful of photos. I wanted to be reminded of our wedding day every single day & maximize the investment we made in hiring a professional photographer.
In a virtual world, it is even more important that our memories are printed. I loved flipping through my grandparents’ parent’s wedding album as a child. Now as an adult, it means even more to me to look through printed photos of my relatives, especially because my grandparents & mom have passed away. It was so special to see the important days of the love stories of the generations before me. I am so grateful to feel connected to my grandparents & mom through printed photos. Holding these photos in my hands means so much to me!

Practical tips on how to print & frame your photos:
Where do you order your prints? My favorite printing company is Miller’s Professional Imaging. Miller’s is an American-based company with quick & kind customer service. They are real people who care a whole lot about high-quality prints! One of my favorite things about Miller’s is how fast they ship products. I order all of my wedding albums from them, & after I submit the order, the album is at my doorstep within 3 days total!
Every Merciful Love gallery has a print store connected to the gallery which can be accessed by clicking the shopping cart icon. I highly recommend ordering directly through the print store! The store offers high-quality prints & ships the photos directly to you.
I have tried many different printing companies - including stores that offer same-day prints (think: CVS, Walmart, Target, Amazon). The bottom line for printing photos is that you get what you pay for. From my own experience, I have found that the quality of colored photos is very unpredictable. Multiple times I have ordered photos from lower-quality printing companies to save money & have ended up spending more money because the quality is poor.
I will say that if you are ordering black & white photos, the lower-quality print companies are a great option!
Where do you buy your frames? I find most of my frames from thrift stores, the side of the road (literally!), IKEA, Target, Marshalls, & TJMaxx.
I hope that this blog can encourage you to print, hang, & frame your wedding photos!
