Deep waters cannot quench love, nor floods sweep it away.

Words might fail to describe the beauty of this wedding. The entirety of the day transcended to a Heavenly joy - from the sacredness of the mass to the playful swing dancing that filled the reception hall. For me (Kennedy), as the photographer, this wedding was uniquely special. Just last year, I unknowingly witnessed (& photographed) the moment when this relationship became more than just a friendship between two coworkers.

Kiera & Brett were first introduced to each other when Kiera accepted a teaching position at Martin Saints Classical Academy. It was there that the art teacher, Kiera, & the music teacher, Brett, grew in friendship. They connected over their shared love of all things true, good, & beauty - especially beauty Himself. It was not too long before their friendship turned something more. The moment that I witnessed was at Rose & Mickey's Wedding in January 2025. Rose was a colleague of both Kiera & Brett. While at this wedding, Brett asked Kiera to dance, & that first dance quickly led to a formal first date. As they continued to pursue each other, the Lord made it abundantly clear that this was at last was His plan for their Vocation.

Their wedding day was glorious, sacred, & a perfect reflection of their love. Most notably, their love of sacred music (...& Brett's love of ghostbusters). Throughout the morning, there was a joyful anticipation as the couple prepared their hearts for the day they have longed for. The two became one at Saint Agatha & Saint James Catholic Church in Philadelphia, a church community that has been special for Kiera & Brett in many ways. The church was soon filled with friends, family, colleagues, & students. While the choir loft was packed full of professional singers, a trumpeter, an organist, & the choir from Martin Saints High School students. The Nuptial Mass felt like a glimpse into Heaven. I found myself wiping away tears as I witnessed the beauty of it all! The scripture that I kept thinking of as I document this day was; "This one at last is flesh of my flesh, and bone of my bone."

Their nuptials were celebrated in the beautifully decorated parish hall of Saint Agatha & Saint James Catholic Church! In the days leading up to the wedding, friends & family poured themself into the task of decoration this reception space. The reception was filled with the sounds of the Jack Saint Clair Jazz Band - the same band the playing during their first dance in January 2025!

It was such an honor to document the beauty of this wedding feast! Many congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Cuddy!!
